Jeanne and Mike Barrow are no strangers to St. Bonaventure High School. Their affiliation began in the late 1970s when both enrolled as freshmen. Their paths soon crossed and they became high school sweethearts. While students, they were involved in many activities on campus, including athletics. Jeanne was a member of the basketball team and Mike was on the football team.
Upon graduation in 1981 and 1982, Jeanne and Mike embarked on life’s journey together, but always kept ties with their alma mater. After they were married, they soon had two boys, Michael and Joseph, who also attended St. Bonaventure High School. Michael and Joseph participated in several sports while in high school. Mike and Jeanne could often be found on the sidelines cheering on the Seraphs. Their love of the school and the students was evident through all of their volunteer work with the athletic programs and the yearly Fiesta.
From serving as a team mom, to driving athletes to games, to providing lights for evening football practices, their involvement was a great asset to the teams. Their love of the school and the students proved endless when Mike became an integral part of the construction of the athletic field and Jeanne took over the Booster Club’s merchandise. Both tasks required a selfless giving of time.
Even though both of their sons are now alumni of St. Bonaventure, Jeanne and Mike continue to be generous supporters of all programs and events at the school.
