About Us: Accreditation

Saint Bonaventure High School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA). St. Bonaventure received its third straight six year accreditation from these organizations in 2003. From 2003 to 2009, the school community worked together on a self-study, titled “Focus on Learning,” that must be completed by any school seeking accreditation from WASC/WCEA. In February of 2009, a WASC/WCEA accrediting committee visited St. Bonaventure for a three day process of observation, interviews, and goal-setting. St. Bonaventure High School, as a result of the committee’s recommendation, again received a six year accreditation, the longest term of accreditation that can be granted. As part of the accreditation and self-study, the St. Bonaventure community has developed the following Expected School-Wide Learning Results (ESLRs) that guide and inform the academic, athletic, spiritual, and service programs of the school:

In accordance with the Mission Statement of Saint Bonaventure High School, graduates are prepared to live their lives spiritually, intellectually and socially to meet the challenges encountered in their lives. With this in mind EXPECTED SCHOOL-WIDE LEARNING RESULTS were developed with input from members of the greater St. Bonaventure community.
